ABOUT THE AWARDS

The Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council's (OMSDC) 2021 Annual Awards Gala on November 19th will recognize MBE's and individuals that have an outstanding record of diversity participation with Minority-Owned businesses in the Ohio region. Corporation award nominations are now being accepted through the form  below. 

AWARDS ELIGIBILITY
MBE AWARDS

  • All nominees must be an OMSDC-Certified MBE
  • Only OMSDC Corporate Members may submit a nomination. All 2020 awards winners ARE eligible for the same award category in 2021. 
  • Only one nomination may be submitted per category.
  • All nominations must be submitted by Sept 3rd, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.

CATHY C. MOCK LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

  • Minimum 10 years of dedicated service in SDI (Supplier Diversity and Inclusion) space
  • Strong Advocate and Promoter of minority business 
  • Proven mentor and Developer of MBEs and the MBE ecosystem
  • Supporter and Builder of the local minority communities in Ohio
  • Ardent supporter of OMSDC
  • All nominations must be submitted by Sept 3rd, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.

AWARDS PROCESS
Nominees will be notified via phone and email and will be sent an application. Those nominees that submit applications will have them reviewed and scored based on a pre-determined set of criteria. The results will be tabulated and the winners announced at the November 19th Annual Awards Gala being held Virtually. MBE AWARDS TO BE PRESENTED  

Supplier of the Year - Class I, II, III & IV

Class 1 - Annual Sales less than $1 million
Class 2 - Annual Sales between $1 million and $9.9 million
Class 3 - Annual Sales between $10 million and $49.9 million
Class 4 - Annual Sales greater than or equal to $50 million. 

Emerging Business of the Year
The Emerging Business of the Year is a certified MBE with outstanding quality and service that has been in existence less than five years.

Legacy Business of the Year
The Legacy Business of the Year is a certified MBE with outstanding quality and service that has been in existence for more than 20 years.
